Septic Solutions

Our Story

Every business has a beginning, this one happens to start with me, John Paul New I am the Owner of Synergy Onsite Septic Solutions. Growing up in South and Central Texas I have always had a longing for the outdoors. Whether it was playing baseball, hanging out at the family’s cabin, swimming in some sort of water or trekking around in the woods. In addition to loving the outdoors I also realized fairly earlier that we living in modern civilized world-well majority of us have to work to acquire money. And I discovered that doing things for others that they don't like or want to do was a great way to make money as a barely adolescent youth, with only sixth grade education and no actual skillset or trade knowledge.

However, I did have an abundance of drive and ambition; so I guess you could say my informal education as an entrepreneur was almost instantaneous. I still remember the day; Fall of Sixth Grade I was living in Minnesota at he time. I was outside on one the last reasonable days of the year before what this young South Texas boy never really seen snow and would about the learn to know and understand the term "Blanket(S) of snow". I was outside feed a baby Raccoon that we were caring for because it's pregnant mother had fallen down our chimney when me Step-Dad opened the flute couple weeks prior as we had an early fall snow he was going to make a fire. The Momma died because of the fall but the litter of 8 baby raccoon lived. We were able to find homes for 7 and we raised the 8th and named Roscoe. Anyways, while outside bottle feeding Roscoe and my elderly neighbor was letting her little dog. She saw me and said hello and asked whatcha doing and so I told here. Then I asked if she was going to apple sauce for an army with all the apples in her yards. She said she just throws all away now her boys were grown. She went on to explain how she hires some kids from church ever year to come bag then all up and take them away. I thought to myself picking up apple I could do. So I offered up my assistance and she said ok. In a half of a days work I made and much money as a half a years' worth of micro allowances which I made by doing extra chores around the house. From that point on I was hooked. That fall I was wreaking leaves into winter where I then started shoveling snow off driveways. We moved to Oklahoma City the following Spring and that Summer of sixth grade I started mowing a couple of neighboring yards. By 9th grade we had moved to back to Austin Texas and in that first Summer I had acquired 40 yards in 3 neighborhoods that were on a monthly biweekly mowing circle along with other landscaping type jobs. So, no matter if I was trying to make a dollar or hangout with friends and family; as a child odds are it was out in the sun. Years later on, I realized was not only one with this sort of thinking and began to understand greater picture that us Texans are truly blessed!

After high school I went to Art school only to drop after a year or so.  Partially for a general discontent with computers; which is what would have been one of my only tools and mediums as a computer animator.  But, mostly out of fear of being stuck in a cubicle for the rest of my life.  After that, I tried my hand at cooking in hope of becoming a Chef.  I soon realized there that as a young family man I needed a better income and work schedule.  Through a family contact I walked into a career in septic.  For a little over 6 years, I worked with a father/son operation who were leaders in their field.  Their company had a massive perimeter with a vast diversity in different types, ages and sizes of septic systems. It was there where I learned most of my understanding of on-site septic systems; but there was also a new kinship that as I grew in the field it too was growing on me.  While working for them I developed a new fascination on working on septic’s and running heavy equipment.  During this new journey I noticed a familiarness and reconnection with outdoor.  As a lover of Mother Nature, my enter Hippie enjoyed knowing not only was I helping other Texans, but I also was helping protect the environment that I have alway had a deep love and respect for-at the same time.  As things began to truly galvanize with me and this new craft; so was I making a name for myself, meeting contacts and gathering respect in the field.  One of them being Craig Sellman Owner of Sellman Enterprises and Affordable Concrete, once Master Plumber interim Septic Installer 1 then 2, Septic Pumper and then tank Pre-caster.  Craig is the one who encouraged me to branch out on my own and in doing so introduced me to a gentleman named Mr. Raymond Vallejo of Raymond Vallejo Sr. Septic. Raymond is the one who assisted me in my apprenticeship and acquiring my necessary licenses.  Although Craig retired from the business I still use his son's services for material from time to time as well as his old pumping company even though he sold it.  However, Raymond and I still do calibrations together on jobs.

Since the beginning we have always been a local family owned and operated company.  Slowly I expanded adding Wife Erin and Mother Charlotte who are working as behind scenes heroes.   Rest in peace Mom!  Even had both my brothers Justin and Cody as well as son Korbin and stepson Jude at times.  Eventually we grew to the point I add lifelong friend and old kitchen compadre Juan Pablo “JP” Chairez along with my old partner in crime Pedro Arroyo and his son Fabian. Teaming up to what I believe is the best well-rounded septic company in Capital area of Texas.  Together we make Synergy Onsite Septic Solutions and our goal is to offer you and your family property(s), "Professional, Knowledgeable and Honest" septic services and to help you through your sanitation hardships, ongoings, beginnings and even the ends.  Our drive is providing for our families with stability while we help in preserving the Texas environment by reclaiming water for the your family as well as ours and for next generations.
